But that was easier said than done.\n\n\n\n</h2><p>Since Mark was extremely busy running the business, it was Mia who was left to handle the process, contacting agencies, filling paperwork, and revisiting lists of children in need of a loving home.\n\n\n\n</p><p>As she was going through the documents, a child, around three years old, caught her attention.\n\n\n\n<figure class='\"wp-block-image\"'><a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/boreddaddy.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2024%5C/11%5C/397a8e2b759efd8af2003314fa43fc7dbfc8fac13eff662f05a345c59127f525.webp%5C%22"><img decoding='\"async\"' src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/boreddaddy.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2024%5C/11%5C/397a8e2b759efd8af2003314fa43fc7dbfc8fac13eff662f05a345c59127f525.webp%5C%22" alt='\"\"' class='\"wp-image-68091\"\/'><figcaption class='\"wp-element-caption\"'>Midjourney\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, they wanted to adopt an infant, but the chances for that were slim, so they decided to open their hearts and home to a toddler.\n\n\n\n</p><p>The child Mia couldn\u2019t take her eyes off of had the most beautiful eyes she\u2019d even seen \u2013 the color of the sky. Somehow, looking at the photo of that sweet little guy, she felt like she\u2019d known him since forever.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Eventually, after the entire process was done, they brought Sam home.<img decoding='\"async\"' src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/go.ezodn.com%5C/utilcave_com%5C/ezoicbwa.png%5C%22" alt='\"Ezoic\"'>\n\n\n\n</p><p>He was the cutest boy there was. What\u2019s most, he settled in nicely and even started calling Mia mom during the first weeks of living with her and Mark.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Everything seemed picture perfect. Mia\u2019s biggest wish, that of becoming a mother, finally came true and she felt like the happiest person on Earth. Life felt good, and Mia was thankful things turned for the best for her and her husband.\n\n\n\n</p><h2 class='\"wp-block-heading\"' id='\"h-but-one-evening-that-started-as-any-other-changed-it-all\"'>But one evening, that started as any other, changed it all.\n\n\n\n<figure class='\"wp-block-image\"'><a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/boreddaddy.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2024%5C/11%5C/72d23d87a398bdf17049b97d99a1212eb5824fc76db21e7161d27e749d65b454.webp%5C%22"><img decoding='\"async\"' src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/boreddaddy.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2024%5C/11%5C/72d23d87a398bdf17049b97d99a1212eb5824fc76db21e7161d27e749d65b454.webp%5C%22" alt='\"\"' class='\"wp-image-68092\"\/'><figcaption class='\"wp-element-caption\"'>Midjourney\n\n\n\n<p>Sam was about to have a bath and Mark said he wanted to bathe the little one. Mia was happy Mark was committed to his new role, and thought that the father and son having some time alone would strengthen their bond.\n\n\n\n</p><p>But just as Mark helped Sam take his clothes off and get into the tub, he suddenly screamed, \u201cWe must return him!\u201d\n\n\n\n</p><p>Mia froze. \u201cWhat was going on?\u201d she thought to herself.\n\n\n\n</p><p>\u201cMark, how can we return a child?\u201d she asked him.\n\n\n\n</p><p>But Mark seemed determined. He said the entire experience was overwhelming and he couldn\u2019t handle the new life.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Mia felt heartbroken. She couldn\u2019t believe her husband\u2019s words. It was not normal that his feelings changed just like that. Mia couldn\u2019t sleep. But then she thought of something. Sam had a birthmark on the bottom of his foot, and Mark had one at the same place. She went to Sam\u2019s room and inspected the birthmark closer. That\u2019s when she realized his birthmark and that of Mark were almost identical.\n\n\n\n</p><p>In the morning, she asked Mark if there was something he needed to confess. Crushed, he said he wanted to return Sam because he suspected he was his biological son. When he saw the birthmark he panicked.\n\n\n\n</p><p>It turned out Mark had an affair with some woman he met at a bar. She simply couldn\u2019t be with Mark any longer.
