Kamala Harris says ‘it’s f—– up’ what RFK Jr’s HHS is doing to America

Kamala Harris Slams HHS Under RFK Jr. and Trump

Former Vice President Kamala Harris sharply criticized the current state of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and President Donald Trump.

Harris spoke at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., joining podcaster Kara Swisher to discuss her new book, 107 Days, which recounts her whirlwind experience during the 2024 election. Swisher joked that by the end of their conversation, countless shocking news events would have already unfolded.

A Personal Connection to Science

Harris drew a stark contrast between her mother’s scientific work to “uplift the human condition” and the current direction of the HHS.

“When I see what these people are doing right now—to end the war on cancer, to deny science, and to fire scientists—it’s personal for me,” she said.

She explained that the stakes are deeply human. “I can’t laugh at it, because so many people suffer from diseases or cancers without cures, or where research is only in the early stages. What they are doing—pushing misinformation and lies at the highest level of government—is criminal. People will die because of it.”

Harris did not mince words. “I can’t laugh about that, I’m sorry. It’s f—– up.”

Harris Highlights Her Qualifications

Harris also highlighted her own credentials. “Some people have actually said I was the most qualified candidate ever to run for president,” she noted.

Swisher quipped, “I like the ‘some people say,’ very nice, but go ahead.”

“I’m just speaking fact,” Harris replied, underscoring her experience and expertise.
